EM6250HD: can one disable IR-LED ?

Postby lukvdh » 13 Dec 2015, 22:26

Is it possible to disable the IR-LED (IR-lighting) on the EM6250HD? In the APP, nightmode, the option to set amount of IR-LEDs is grayed out.
I want to put the camera inside, behind a glass window, looking outside where there is enough light. But the IR-LED makes everything on the inside reflect in the glass and all I see is my own camera.
Every other product (other brands) I tried had the option to turn off IR-lighting. So I assumed this (rather expensive one) would have this possibility too.
Now it's useless for what I bought it.

Dear lukvdh,

The EM6250HD has 1 IR led so there is no need to set the amount of IR-leds (This option is available only for the EM6260).

To dsiable the IR-LED please use the option below the IR LED numbers and set the Night mode control to Manual and select Day.

Video settings -> Night mode control -> Manual -> Day

Press "Update" to apply the settings

Won't that automaticly select the daylight lens? I want to use the nighttime lens, but without the IR-LED.

I will have to wait until it's dark again to test ;-) .

Dear lukvdh,

This option will not influence the automatic switch between the Day and Night lens this option is to manually enable/disable the IR LEDs.
