Hello Grumpybear,

This is because the EM6355 is passive POE and cannot communicate with your Linksys POE+ which is Active POE.

Hi Joyce,
Thanks for the swift reply.

So the camera can not function with a PoE switch because it's passive?
Is there any solution to this problem? Or do I always have to use the PoE injectors?

Dear GrumpyBear,

The EM6355 cannot work with the supplied power of the PoE switch you will always need the PoE injectors to power the camera.

Ok.
Do you have any cameras that can work with a PoE switch? Or are they all passive?
