Cannot connect to camera in web browser

Postby Gizmoben » 05 Apr 2018, 11:52

Hello,

I am trying to update my EM6330 firmware using Mac OS. I want to connect to the camera through the link http://cameraIP:81 (the IP and port 81 are correct as they are used by my Nas to retrieve the camera stream. I tried it using Safari, Firefox and Opera but they all try to connect for a certain time then tell me the page is not accessible. Anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong ?

Thanks for your help !

Dear Benjamin,

Did you successfully managed to update the firmware? Because after firmware update the port setting will change from 81 to 443.
After entering http://ipaddress_IPCAM:81 do you get a login screen?
And after login (if possible) did you select the first option of Sign in (For IE, Firefox, Google, Safari Browser)?

Dear Joyce,

I cannot update the firmware as I cannot connect to the camera. I don't get any login screen, it just says that the webpage is not accessible. But I can access the camera through my NAS using Surveillance Station so I know the IP and the port are correct.

Dear Gizmoben,

Have you tried to reboot the camera?
Did you set your MAC or IP camera to a Static IP address? And if yes are the IP addresses in the same IP range for example MAC has IP address 192.168.1.20 and the ipcamera 192.168.1.25?
If 1 of both devices is not in the same iprange example example MAC has IP address 192.168.1.20 and the ipcamera 192.168.8.25 in that case it is not possible to access the webinterface and you will need to make sure both are in the same IP range.

Hi Joyce,
What username to use? I can reach my camera's via the browser but need to log on. I tried the Camera ID's that are on the carton card and the new password I created (and use in the app), but I cannot login :-(

Which credentials should I use?

Thanks!

Dear 903rtz,

The username should be: admin
The password as written on the card or if the password is modified use the modified password.

Cannot connect to camera in web browser after HTTP port chan

Postby smeroni68 » 27 Dec 2019, 11:13

Hi all,
I have several eminent Cams in my network.
I bought a new EM6325 and conneted to it via web page on port 443.
Web interface opened, I logged in and configured all parameters for networking and FTP file saving. Cam is working and accessible on internet with CamlinePro sw (windows and Android app).
Last modification I've made is the change of the http port from stock 443 to 87. Saved and rebooted the camera. Camera still work, port 87 is opened and available, but web interface is not anymore accessible on local network.
What's happened? I IP scanned the open ports on camera IP and the sw say port 87 is opened/accessible, but the web page do not appear anymore.

Firmware version is 11.4.5.1 (the one installed with the brand new camera).

Any suggestion to solve this issue? Luckyly I completed the settings before http port change, but this issue I would like to solve for any future change on parameters not available on CamlinePro sw.

Thanks for helping.

Hello,

When you try to access the camera through the web interface, did you also change the address to :87 at the end instead of :443 ?

Obviously yes. If I manage to change the HTTP port from standard 443 to 87 i know what I'm doing... the problem (That I solved now) is that the https standard port 443 and also port 80 are the only one that the browser know are with ssl protocol (https). I was using Chrome and this browser block any possibility to connect to an https web page that is not 443 or 80. I connected the web page on port 87 by using Microsoft Edge temporarily, and I switched back from 87 to 443...

Hope this information can help others that wrongly change the http page to a different one and Chrome isn't able anymore to web browse the camera pages.

PS: It's quite stupid that the camera Networking config page has this possibility to change the standard port 443 to another one... latest cameras are https web manageable, so i consider this option to be removed because can cause issues like with me.

EDIT: Just as reference, the camera I bought (brand new) hasn't enabled uPNP by default, and the camera has problems going on public internet and it do not worked out of the box... another stupid stuff I found on basic settings.
