EM7680 Beta Firmware Kodi 17 Evaluation (Bug is not solved)

Postby Joyce » 19 Jun 2017, 11:00

We would like to receive your opinion about the first Beta firmware for the EM7680. If you wish to update and test your EM7680 to this new version of Kodi including LibreElec you can download it here: http://downloads.eminent-online.com/Lib ... e_beta.zip

Updates:
Kodi 16 -> Kodi 17 (v17.2)
LibreElec 7.0.2.008 -> LibreElec (v8.0.1)

Known issues:
DVD ISO incl. DVD menus cannot be played (We are still working on this issue DVD ISO without a DVD menu will work)

Please keep the questions and remarks about this beta update in this topic.

Power button behavior is not OK.
In version Libreelec7.0.2 there is no possibilities to change from off to hibernate/suspend.
With the version 8.0.1, it's possible to change the button action but it doesn't work.
When OFF button is pressed on the remote control the system switch off then switch on again and reactivate the tv monitor(HDMI) in the same time ?

Dear Kaz,

You are correct about the power behavior for LibreELEC 7.0.2.
For Beta FW 8.0.1 the power function works in both options. So shutdown function and suspend function is tested and works.
When suspend is selected the streamer must go in standby mode but not automatically reactive the streamer to power it back on.

I think some of your devices, like TV or AV receiver is forcing the streamer to power back on again.
Please disable CEC function in the EM7680 to see if this will make any difference.

To disable CEC function, go to Settings - System - Input - Peripherals and enter CEC adapter. In here you can change or disable the settings for CEC adapter.

Hello,

Solved !

Disabling CEC was the solution.
