No Shoutcast/Apple with WIFI due to NZB

Postby diback » 31 Jul 2010, 18:27

Why do Shoutcast radio, Apple trailer etc. depend on activated NZB?
NZB depends on a storage device connected to the USB.

So we all cannot use a WIFI adapter on the USB to hear radio or watch trailer.

NZB creates a swap partition on the USB disk/Stick. The player uses this swap file for buffering since Shoutcast, Apple trailers etc uses a lot of memory. Without the NZB/swap file the player does not have enough memory to run these apps.

Update: At this moment I have connected a USB hub to the EM7075. A USB memory stick and EM4554 WLAN stick are connected. I am able to use the NZB swap file while working wirelessly. I am listening to shoutcast right now using the wireles stick and USB stick through the USB hub

You can. But you'll just need to add an USB hub in order to do so.
