This is inside settings.json file, and you can edit it there, with a good editor that handles linux-compatible files.
Code: Select all
    "ratio-limit": 2.0000,
    "ratio-limit-enabled": false,

You'll find the settings.json file in the hidden .transmission folder on your usb stick.

Ah great, thanks !! I'll have a look at it when I get home.
I suppose the default is enabled, as Transmission was happily seeding away yesterday evening, but at ratio 1.73, I was starting to wonder how far he would go ;)

I noticed that settings you actually can set in the interface (:9091) like default port and unencrypted peers are not saved ?

Those can only be changed in the settings.json file, it's a limitation of the interface.

Most people do not mind, they want as many peers as they can download from, otherwise they will complain the em7075 is a slow downloader..

Ok, found the file (/tmp/media/usb/USB1/781893FD1893B898/.transmission/settings.json), using PuTTY to access the EM7075DTS.

Noticed these settings :
Code: Select all
    "peer-port": 51413,
    "peer-port-random-high": 65535,
    "peer-port-random-low": 49152,
    ...
    "port-forwarding-enabled": true,

is 51413 the port I should forward on my router to the player's IP address ??
or does this :
port-forwarding-enabled: Boolean (default = true) Enable UPnP or NAT-PMP. (found that on https://trac.transmissionbt.com/wiki/EditConfigFiles)
mean that i should enable UPnP on my router ?

Transmission will try to use UPnP to open this port automatically, if your router supports that. (99% routers these days do.)
If you don't want to use UPnP, you must forward the port in the router manually.

Ah, so the real torrent port is 51413, not 5000 as the interface says ?
Sorry for all the questions, was a bit confused by the contradicting settings/values ...
