EM4172: crashes every day

Postby diarmuid » 27 Feb 2014, 11:53

Hi. I bought an EM4172 on Tuesday 28/02/2014 and it has crashed 3 times, roughly once per day (no response via web interface, ftp or samba).

The eminent support page contact form does not work to report the problem. ("there was a problem sending your message")

No email address is provided for emailing the problem for Belgian customers.

Anyone else bought one of these?

Dear diarmuid,

Unfortunately we have to little information to give you a solution via this forum.

When does the NAS crash? when idle, during copying, during download.
Does the NAS have enough airflow to cool the device?
Are the HDDs formatted by the NAS itself?

If you wish to contact the helpdesk please e-mail to: support@eminent-online.com or call from Belgium: 070 277 286 (30 ct per minute)*

Yesterday I put an reply on this, put it seems the forums works like the NAS does. NOT.

I Have the same problem. The NAS crasches a few times a day. I'm at work now (06u55am) I restarted when I left home (05u55am) and I can't get connected. When I try to acces with a computer from home through teamviewer it doesn't work. I'm very dissappointed in this product.

If you don't have a solution for me, I gonna take it back to the store and demand a refund.
This is not what I payed for.

Regards,
Joery

Please check the items above if the issue remain we will have to check/replace the device.

I will send you a PM with instructions on how to send in the unit for check/repair/replacement.
